A Chesterfield Corporation Leyland PD2, bound for Poolsbrook, leaves the bus stop outside Willetts Sweets shop and factory around 1972. Willetts was on the corner of Brewery Street, which still runs from Holywell Cross to the old Brimington Road. Durrant Road is visible just to the right of the blue Triumph. Opposite there would have been Felkin Street (an original plate is still attached to the Chesterfield Hotel wall). Halfway up the hill, just before the distant figures, is a green door. This is where Willetts Sweets first started – renting the old stables and wagon sheds from White’s Furnishings. Just in front of that would have been Theatre Lane, which curved parallel to Corporation Street, behind the furniture store and the Hippodrome and into Felkin Street.
